Shanxi is making efforts in three aspects to promote the green development of industry
On the morning of November 4th, the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Shanxi Provincial Committee and the Information Office of the Shanxi Provincial People's Government organized and held the 11th press conference of the series of themes on "Promoting High-Quality Development and Deepening All-round Transformation". At the meeting, Zhang Xiaolei, a member of the Party Group and deputy director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi Province, introduced that Shanxi will resolutely implement the decisions and plans of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, continuously stimulate new impetus for the development of new quality productive forces with new achievements in green development, and will promote the green development of industry from three aspects.
Zhang Xiaolei pointed out that since the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shanxi Province has been deeply practicing the concept that green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver, thoroughly implementing the major national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin, promoting energy conservation and consumption reduction in enterprises, continuously improving the comprehensive utilization level of solid waste, and accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of industry.
In terms of energy conservation and carbon reduction, efforts have been made to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction renovations in high energy-consuming industries such as steel and coking. The Special Coke Preparation Branch of Qin New Energy and the Wenxi Company of Jidong Haitian Cement have been selected as national energy efficiency leaders. Since the "14th Five-Year Plan", the energy consumption per unit of added value of large-scale industrial enterprises in Shanxi Province has cumulatively decreased by 19%. In terms of the construction of a green manufacturing system, a gradient cultivation mechanism has been established, with a total of 115 national-level green factories, 7 green industrial parks, and 5 green supply chain management enterprises created. In terms of comprehensive utilization of resources, efforts have been made to vigorously promote the large-scale and high-value utilization of solid wastes such as coal gangue, fly ash and smelting slag. New products such as ultrafine kaolin and mineral wool insulation materials have been developed using solid wastes as raw materials, and the annual utilization of solid wastes has been increased to 187 million tons. In terms of industrial water conservation, efforts have been made to actively promote water-saving renovations in high-water-consuming industries, contributing to the "clear water flowing into the Yellow River". Jinneng Holding Equipment Huayu Energy Chemical has been selected as a national water efficiency leader, with water consumption per 10,000 yuan of industrial added value reduced to 9.8 cubic meters.

Make efforts to promote the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure. Centering on the goals and tasks of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, we will guide traditional industries to benchmark against energy efficiency benchmarks, carry out energy-saving and carbon-reduction renovations, and enhance energy efficiency. Focus on green and low-carbon fields such as high-end equipment, green hydrogen energy, and new energy storage, make up for shortcomings and strengthen strengths, and promote the integrated and clustered development of emerging industries. Accelerate the layout of future industries such as high-speed flying cars, quantum information, and cutting-edge materials, and build a modern manufacturing system with high technological content, low resource consumption, and minimal environmental pollution.
Make efforts to research, develop and promote advanced and applicable technologies and equipment. Focusing on areas such as pollution reduction and carbon emission reduction, energy conservation and water conservation, and resource recycling, we will promote advanced technologies and equipment such as waste heat and pressure power generation, high-efficiency energy-saving motors, and zero discharge of wastewater. We will intensify research and development efforts on key technologies such as high-pressure gaseous and liquid hydrogen storage, chemical carbon fixation, and new energy storage. We will support enterprises in applying new-generation information technologies. Promote digital energy efficiency management, fine sorting and processing of recyclable resources, and other technologies, and increase the supply of high-efficiency, green and environmentally friendly product technology and equipment.
Make efforts to strengthen policy support and element guarantee. Implement the national tax preferential policies on energy conservation, water conservation and comprehensive utilization of resources, and strengthen the support for technological transformation of green and low-carbon projects. We will continue to carry out the creation activities of green factories, green parks and green supply chains, pilot the implementation of the "enterprise green code" in national-level green factories, provide policy support and element guarantee for the green and low-carbon development of Shanxi's industry, and constantly promote the green and low-carbon development of Shanxi's industry.
