The main facilities of the China Coal Yulin Coal Deep Processing Base Project have started construction

On June 18th, China Coal Shaanxi Energy Chemical Group Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for the main facilities of the China Coal Yulin Coal Deep Processing Base Project, marking the official start of construction of this national application demonstration project, which has been listed as a typical case of environmental impact assessment by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment. Zhao Rongzhe, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Chief Accountant of China National Coal Group, announced the start of the project.

 

 

 

The China Coal Yulin Coal Deep Processing Base Project is located in the Yuheng Industrial Park, Yulin, Shaanxi Province. The feasibility study estimates the investment to be 23.888 billion yuan. The main construction contents include 2.2 million tons/year of methanol and 900,000 tons/year of polyolefins. At the same time, the existing first phase of the coal chemical project will be optimized and upgraded, and 250,000 tons/year of LDPE/EVA chain extension and expansion as well as supporting projects will be constructed. The main facilities include air separation, gasification, purification, sulfur recovery, methanol synthesis, MTO, olefin separation, three sets of polyolefin and one set of EVA, etc.

 

This project has been listed by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment as a "Typical Case of Environmental Impact Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions" for promotion. It is the first coal chemical project of a central enterprise to be selected and has undertaken two national application demonstration tasks: a 3,000-ton gasification semi-waste boiler process and a 40MW ultra-high power motor. Among them, the 3,000-ton gasification semi-waste boiler process can couple and utilize the saturated steam by-product of the device, which can not only reduce the consumption of fuel coal but also significantly extend the service life of the equipment. At the same time, in the field of coal chemical industry, a 40MW super-large domestic motor was applied for the first time, eliminating coal-fired boilers and significantly increasing the proportion of electrification.

It is understood that China Coal Shaanxi Company adheres to the transformation and upgrading concept of professionalization, refinement, specialization and innovation.
