Guizhou: Vigorously promote the coupled development of coal chemical industry and phosphorus chemical industry
On June 14th, the Information Office of The State Council held a series of theme press conferences on "Promoting High-Quality Development". Li Bingjun, the deputy secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the governor of Guizhou Province, stated at the conference that building a modern industrial system is the key to promoting high-quality development.
Li Bingjun said that Guizhou is rich in mineral resources. Based on its comparative advantages, resource endowment and industrial foundation, Guizhou has identified its leading industries and is accelerating the construction of "six major industrial bases" : a resource deep processing base, a new energy power battery and material research and development and production base, a national computing power guarantee base, a liquor production base, a new comprehensive energy base, and an advanced equipment manufacturing base.
According to Li Bingjun, traditional industries in Guizhou such as coal, electricity, tobacco and alcohol have been accelerating their transformation, upgrading and quality improvement in recent years, achieving the goal of "old trees sprouting new buds". Meanwhile, Guizhou is promoting the extension of its industrial chain and vigorously promoting the coupled development of coal chemical industry and phosphorus chemical industry. Coal in Guizhou is becoming an important raw material for modern chemical industry.
In addition, Guizhou has seized the opportunity to accelerate the layout and development of emerging and future industries such as new energy batteries, new materials, intelligent computing power, and advanced equipment. The phosphating industry in Guizhou, on the basis of stabilizing the supply of chemical fertilizers and ensuring national food security, has extended into the new energy battery materials industry, introducing a number of leading enterprises and promoting the dual-track development of "power batteries + energy storage batteries". Currently, one out of every three electric vehicles in the country uses "phosphorus elements" from Guizhou in their batteries.
Qiu Zhenguo, director of the Development and Reform Commission of Guizhou Province, also stated at the meeting that Guizhou is accelerating green and low-carbon development, promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries such as phosphorus chemical engineering and coal chemical engineering, enhancing the clean and efficient utilization of coal, vigorously advancing the construction of "Electric Guizhou", increasing the "green content" of development and reducing the "carbon content".
