What project of Pingmei with an annual production capacity of 66,000 tons of chlorotoluene series products has been completed and put into operation
On the morning of June 8th, the completion and commissioning ceremony of the 66,000-ton annual production capacity project of chlorotoluene series products of Pingmei Group's Chlor-Alkali Development Company was held.
Li Benbin, the deputy general manager of Pingmei Group, said that the construction of major projects is the core and important support for the development of the salt chemical sector, and it is related to the speed and quality of industrial development. In recent years, the Chlor-Alkali Development Company has been committed to taking the adjustment of product structure as the main line, actively connecting with the new energy, new materials and nylon industries, and deeply engaging in the field of chlorine-consuming fine chemicals. In accordance with the Group's requirements for extending and strengthening the chlor-hydrogen industrial chain, the Chlor-Alkali Development Company started the construction of a project with an annual production capacity of 66,000 tons of chloro-toluene series products on June 18, 2022. On June 3 this year, the superior products were successfully produced in one trial production.
After the project reaches its full production capacity, it is expected to produce 66,000 tons of chlorinated toluene series products annually and consume approximately 48,000 tons of chlorine gas each year. This will not only meet the company's demand for balanced chlorine gas but also improve the product structure, extend the group's chlorine-hydrogen industrial chain, create new profit growth points, further consolidate and expand the group's development advantages in related industries, and promote the high-quality development of the group.
