Previously, with the support of three major companies, CNPC, Sinopec and CNOOC, the China Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering Research Association has successfully held the nine international conference on Asia-Pacific liquefied natural gas.

With the continued decline of international oil prices, new trends and new characteristics have emerged in the global natural gas market in the past two years, which has brought troubles and obstacles to the rapidly developing and promising natural gas production industry. However, we believe that the development of energy utilization structure from high carbon to low carbon and then to carbon-free is an inevitable trend, and it is also a very long process. In this process, the world's energy consumption will still be dominated by fossil energy. Natural gas is the cleanest fossil energy at present, and can make up for the shortcomings of renewable energy being difficult to store and unstable supply. It will play an important role in the transition from high-carbon energy to low-carbon energy and will surely become the "century energy" that carries social development. Although the demand growth rate has declined, the current Asia-Pacific market is still the main engine leading the growth of global liquefied natural gas demand in the future.

In 2015, the Asia-Pacific region's LNG trade volume accounted for 75% of the global total, making it the world's largest market. In 2015, a total of seven LNG projects were completed and put into production around the world, and the LNG market will be in a surplus in the next five years. This will further decline the price of LNG in Asia-Pacific in the future, and at the same time bring more intense market share competition pressure to the Asian market. The Asia-Pacific LNG market has entered a new stage dominated by buyers. With such deep adjustments to the market, how participants of all parties change according to the times and adjust their strategic layout is the key to gaining competitive advantages in the future market. How to seize the low point of gas prices, integrate the industrial chain, and plan for the future? How to adjust business strategies, develop new business forms, and overcome industry lows? How to improve technology and management to reduce costs and gain market opportunities? The 10th Asia-Pacific Liquefied Natural Gas Conference continues to strive to create a professional and efficient multilateral dialogue mechanism for industry leaders and elites. The conference is themed "Discovering new opportunities in the buyer's market", focusing on four aspects: regional market changes, supply and demand dynamics, trade model innovation, LNG transport ships and powered ships, analyzes the new characteristics of the Asia-Pacific LNG market from different perspectives, grasps the development rhythm of the LNG industry, and jointly discusses the development path of the Asia-Pacific liquefied natural gas market under the reshaping of the global energy pattern.

The conference was conducted in the form of a combination of conference speeches, interactive Q&A, group discussions and sub-forum reports, and in-depth discussions were conducted in three areas: "Plenary Meeting: Global Industry Outlook and Regional Market Focus", "Sub-Forum 2: LNG Trade Sub-Forum", and "Sub-Forum 3: LNG Transportation Ship and Power Ship Sub-Forum", making the conference lively and lively.

More than 150 representatives from home and abroad attended the meeting. More than 30 entrepreneurs, experts and scholars from China, the United States, Britain, France, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Canada, Australia, Sweden, Norway and other countries and regions gave special speeches at the conference. CNPC, CNOOC and Sinopec all sent representatives to attend the meeting and gave wonderful speeches at the meeting.
