The construction of the world's first mobile offshore oilfield measures platform, "Zengchan No.1", has begun

On April 10th, the world's first mobile offshore oilfield measures platform, "Zengchan No.1", broke ground in Qingdao, Shandong Province. This mobile oilfield measures platform was designed and constructed by CNOOC Energy Development Co., LTD. (referred to as "CNOOC Development"). Its commencement marks the entry of the world's first offshore mobile oilfield measures platform into the substantive construction stage, opening up a new path for the large-scale and efficient development of offshore oil and gas fields in the middle and later stages, activating the "new intelligent engine", and effectively ensuring national energy security.

 

 

 

Cnooc Development is committed to the development goals of "high-end, intelligent, green and low-carbon", strengthens independent innovation in science and technology, builds high-end equipment for Marine oil and gas, and provides professional technical support for increasing reserves and production in offshore oil fields. The "Production Increase No.1" that has started construction this time can provide multiple operation services such as heavy oil thermal recovery, acidification and fracturing for the Bohai Oilfield. It is an important achievement in implementing the development goal of "high-end, intelligent and green low-carbon".

 

"Production Increase No.1" adopts an internationally leading design concept and integrates the application of multiple innovative technologies. The first adoption of a column-type multi-layer pile driving system has increased the efficiency of towing the platform into position by 15%. At the same time, a customized AI large model is introduced for the first time and deployed locally. With the help of digital twin technology, dynamic perception and all-round, full-time dynamic monitoring of personnel, equipment, energy consumption and production processes across the entire platform are carried out. Potential risks are analyzed, judged and predicted in advance to achieve intelligent management.

 

 

 

"Production Increase No.1" is scheduled to be completed and delivered in 2026. After the platform is put into use, it not only supports the conventional exploitation of offshore oil fields, but also can carry out mobile heat injection, fracturing, acidification, profile control, heavy oil thermal recovery and other production enhancement measures, effectively meeting the various production enhancement operation demands of offshore oil fields, which is of great significance for the middle and later development and exploitation of offshore oil and gas fields.
