The high-performance organic fluorine materials project of Zhonghao Chenguang has been put into operation

Recently, the main facility of the 26,000-ton/year high-performance organic fluorine material project of Zhonghao Chenguang, a subsidiary of Sinochem Blue Sky, was completed and put into operation in the Chuannan New Materials Chemical Industry Park in Zigong, Sichuan Province, and qualified products were produced.

 

The project started construction in April 2022. Facing challenges such as complex process flow, numerous individual facilities, and high construction difficulty, Zhonghao Chenguang spent over 30 months successively completing the construction of core facilities such as tetrafluoroethylene monomer and polytetrafluoroethylene, as well as supporting projects. It was completed and handed over by the end of 2024, entering the trial production stage, and ultimately achieving successful start-up of the project.

It is learned that this project adopts over 60 core patented technologies independently developed by Zhonghao Chenguang, and can produce high-performance organic fluorine materials such as polytetrafluoroethylene dispersion resin, perfluoroethylene-propylene copolymer resin, and fusible polytetrafluoroethylene resin. After the project is completed, the products will be applied in high-end equipment, new energy vehicles, energy conservation and environmental protection and other fields.

 

The successful commissioning of the project will further optimize the product structure of Sinochem Blue Sky's organic fluorine, expand production capacity, and promote seamless integration between the innovation chain and the industrial chain. In addition, the project will form a synergy effect with projects such as Sinochem Blue Sky Sichuan New Energy and Haohua Gas within the park, helping the park build a 100-billion-yuan advanced materials industrial cluster and driving the coordinated development of fluorine chemicals, fluorine-containing fine chemicals, environmental protection and other industries.
