On March 26th, the pile foundation work for the hydrocracking unit of Jiujiang Petrochemical was initiated. This is another significant project following the full-scale commencement of the continuous reforming unit, the first project of the 1.5 million tons per year aromatics and refining supporting renovation project, at the end of last year. Once completed and put into operation, it will help build a complete industrial chain covering "refining + aromatics +PTA+PET+ terminal products". Drive the transformation and upgrading of the petrochemical industry in Jiangxi Province.

According to the introduction, in recent years, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, has adhered to the dual-wheel drive of "external introduction and internal cultivation", strengthened gradient cultivation, and carried out targeted investment promotion. Since last year alone, the city has newly built or expanded 59 chemical projects. The city focuses on four sub-sectors: petroleum refining and chemical engineering, new chemical materials, fine chemicals, and chlor-alkali chemicals. It strengthens the leading role of scientific and technological innovation, continuously extends, supplements and strengthens the industrial chain, and promotes the high-end, intelligent and green transformation of the industry. In 2024, the petrochemical and chemical industry chain in Jiujiang City achieved operating income of 122.49 billion yuan, an increase of 9.3% compared with the previous year. The total profit reached 3.84 billion yuan, with an increase of 13.3% compared to the previous year.

Jiujiang City has also been actively promoting the construction of major platforms such as the "Industry brain" for petrochemicals and chemical engineering, pilot bases, and innovation centers. It has established industry associations for organosilicon and fine chemicals, deepened collaborative innovation among industry, academia, research, and application, and promoted the digital transformation of industries. In the petrochemical and chemical industry, the city has 13 provincial-level academicians' workstations and 12 provincial-level enterprise technology centers.

Following the development path of "one enterprise leading one chain and one chain forming a large area", Jiujiang City has continuously magnified the multiplier effect of its industries. Today, Jiangxi Lanxing Xinghuo Organosilicon Co., LTD., the "chain leader" enterprise located in Yongxiu County, has developed into a company with an annual production capacity of 720,000 tons of organosilicon, accounting for 12% of the national total output. The output of silicone oil has reached 150,000 tons, accounting for 14% of the national total. It has an integrated upstream and downstream industrial chain and is a global leader in the silicone industry. Its synthesis technology has reached the world's advanced level. Our products are sold to over 80 countries and regions, and the market share of many varieties in the domestic market ranks among the top.

Entering the Xinghuo factory area, robots, automated packaging, and AGV systems are operating efficiently. The enterprise adheres to the integration of "industry, academia, research and application", and intensifies efforts to promote scientific research and innovation in aspects such as high-quality operation, downstream specialization and intelligent manufacturing. The first phase of the "Digital Twin Platform Integrating Six Major Application Innovations" project and the second phase of the "Fifth-generation Communication Technology Fully Connected Intelligent Factory" project were successfully implemented. Many scenarios of the "Intelligent Factory + Smart HSE" project have been applied for the first time in the chemical industry. It has led and participated in the formulation of 41 national standards and holds 185 patents. Meanwhile, actively building green product chains, industrial chains and supply chains, green has become the "most beautiful background color" and powerful driving force for the high-quality development of enterprises.

Driven by leading enterprises, the Yongxiu Xinghuo Organosilicon industrial cluster has gathered over 160 upstream and downstream enterprises and supporting enterprises in the industrial chain, forming a complete industrial chain and ecosystem. Among them, there are 58 high-tech enterprises, 30 provincial-level or above specialized, refined, distinctive and innovative enterprises and "little giant" enterprises, with an industrial correlation rate as high as 70%. It has been successively rated as a national characteristic cluster of small and medium-sized enterprises and one of the top 100 clusters of private economy in China. It has demonstrated the profound heritage and strong strength of Yunshan Economic Development Zone in Yongxiu County in the field of silicone industry.

Since Jiangxi Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. settled in Pengze, Jiujiang in 2016, it has adhered to the "1411" development strategy, committed to strengthening and expanding a coal-to-syngas basic platform, and building four major sectors: basic chemicals, fertilizers, organic amines, and new materials. The company plans to invest 18 billion yuan to build two phases of the project. The first phase of the 600,000-ton synthetic ammonia, 520,000-ton urea and 400,000-ton dimethyl ether project, with an investment of 8 billion yuan, has a first-class technical level in the industry. The public facilities such as the water plant, substation and wharf that were built in conjunction have all been put into operation simultaneously. The second-phase project is planned to invest 10 billion yuan to expand high-end specialty chemicals for the new materials and new energy industries. Among them, the 200,000-ton DMF project has been successfully put into operation. Meanwhile, the company has also invested 100 million yuan to build a modern and efficient agricultural demonstration park, contributing to the country's rural revitalization.

Jiangxi Xinlianxin strictly implements the "dual carbon" policy. The first-phase project achieves all-round ultra-low emissions of flue gas, reducing CO₂ emissions by 60 million cubic meters and recovering over 300,000 tons annually, which are used to produce food-grade and electronic-grade gas products. Wastewater reuse enhances the utilization rate of water resources, saving over 2.5 million tons of water annually. Each year, over 300,000 tons of coal ash and slag are recycled through resource treatment, ensuring that all kinds of resources are fully utilized. This creates the greatest social value with the least resources and fully builds a circular economy industrial chain.

A relevant person in charge of Jiangxi Xinlianxin Company stated that as the designated fertilizer supply guarantee enterprise by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the only urea producer in Jiangxi Province, Jiangxi Xinlianxin will focus on the "1411" strategy, take coal-to-syngas as the platform, take "fertilizer" as the foundation, and extend to "chemical" in combination with its geographical advantages, achieving "parallel development of fertilizer and chemical" and "dual strength in fertilizer and chemical". To support the "1269" action plan for the modernization of key manufacturing industrial chains in Jiangxi Province and the "9610" project for manufacturing in Jiujiang City, we will contribute heart-to-heart strength to ensuring national food security, writing a Jiangxi chapter of Chinese-style modernization, and building Jiujiang into an important node city of the Yangtze River Economic Belt to high standards.
