On May 19th, a high-quality seminar and achievement release exchange meeting for the green petrochemical industry, jointly organized by the Tianjin Chemical Society and the National Green Petrochemical Industry Industry-Education Integration Community, was successfully held in the Tianjin Tiankai Higher Education Science and Technology Innovation Park.
It is reported that this conference aims to enhance the understanding of scientific and technological workers in the chemical industry regarding the green development, technological innovation and the development of new quality productive forces in the petrochemical industry, further strengthen the integration of industry and education and cooperation and exchanges in the national green petrochemical industry, and promote the high-end, intelligent and green development of the petrochemical industry in Tianjin.
Vice Chairperson Xia Qiuyu, a member of the Party Group and vice chairperson of the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology, stated that the green petrochemical industry holds a very important position in social and economic development. The Tianjin Association for Science and Technology has organized multiple special events and continuously provided support for the development of the green petrochemical industry in Tianjin through measures such as establishing the Tianjin Petrochemical Industry Concept Verification Center and the Pilot Platform Consultation Committee.

At the same time, this exchange meeting also included the release of outstanding scientific and technological innovation achievements of Tianjin Chemical Society, the exchange of scientific and technological innovation achievements in the green petrochemical industry, the promotion of scientific and technological achievement standardization work, the release of products by enterprises in Tianjin Tiankai Park, and the exchange on promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
At the release session of outstanding scientific and technological innovation achievements of Tianjin Chemical Society, 91 outstanding scientific and technological innovation achievements collected by Tianjin Chemical Society in 2023 were released on the spot, and certificates were awarded to some representatives of the outstanding achievements on the spot.
During the exchange session on scientific and technological innovation achievements in the green petrochemical industry, a total of 14 scientific research representatives from the Institute of Engineering Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dengta Coatings, Tianjin University, Tianjin Dagu Chemical, Tianjin Changlu Haijing Group, and Tianjin Bohua Yongli, among others, presented and exchanged their outstanding achievements, building a good communication bridge for the research and development and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the green petrochemical industry.
The conference specially invited Han Buxing from the Chinese Academy of Sciences to give a special popular science lecture. The main leaders of the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology, Tiankai Group and Tianjin Bohua Group delivered speeches. More than 130 representatives from 50 units including the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, the Tianjin Institute of Biotechnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, CNOOC, the Dagang Oilfield Group of China National Petroleum Corporation, Dengta Coatings, Tianjin University, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and Tianjin University of Technology attended this exchange meeting.
