Hebei has established an expert database for the petrochemical industry
On May 22nd, the Hebei Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association held a meeting, appointing industry experts to form an expert database of the association, analyzing the economic operation of the province in the first quarter of this year, and awarding the Science and Technology Progress Award to outstanding scientific research achievements of the industry in 2024, etc.
In order to promote the high-quality development of the petrochemical and chemical industry throughout the province and fully leverage the professional and technical talent advantages of the province's petrochemical and chemical industry, the Hebei Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association has specially appointed 116 experts with the titles of senior engineer and full senior engineer as experts in the association's expert database. It covers numerous fields such as petroleum, chemical engineering, new materials, fine chemicals, chemical synthesis, chemical management, chemical processes, chemical equipment, chemical engineering, pesticides, safety, environmental protection, artificial fibers, and instrumentation automation.

According to Zhang Lijun, the president of the Hebei Petrochemical Industry Association, this expert database will participate in research on related topics, standard setting, project review, consultation and diagnosis, academic exchanges, investigation and research, technical training and other activities in the chemical industry field. It can also accept commissions from local government departments, chemical industrial parks, petrochemical and chemical enterprises, etc. Participate in the design of relevant schemes for chemical projects, assessment, review and argumentation, personnel training and other aspects of work. Also, be able to put forward suggestions and implementation plans for the development, technological progress and policy guidance of the provincial petrochemical industry, and assist chemical parks and enterprises in solving key technical problems and promoting major projects.
Meanwhile, it was learned from the meeting. In the first quarter of this year, there were 2,320 large-scale enterprises in the petrochemical industry in Hebei Province. The cumulative industrial added value increased by 6.8%, while the cumulative sales output value decreased by 6.6%. The operating revenue reached 151.527 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 10.4%. The profit reached 2.755 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 38.8%.
On that day, relevant officials from the Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Industry and Information Technology, and the Department of Science and Technology of Hebei Province were present and respectively interpreted the relevant industrial policies to the attending enterprises. At the meeting, the Hebei Petrochemical Industry Association presented the Science and Technology Progress Award to 11 scientific and technological achievements in the province, including the self-controlled continuous gravity flow production equipment and new processes for chlorinated hydrocarbon products, and commended them.
