The first large-scale petrochemical project in Kazakhstan, constructed by China National Chemical Tianchen Company, is about to be delivered
On May 23rd, it was learned from China National Chemical Corporation Tianchen Company, a central state-owned enterprise based in Tianjin, that the first large-scale petrochemical project in Kazakhstan, which was constructed by the company, is about to be completed and delivered.

It is reported that Kazakhstan is rich in oil resources. Since 2017, Kazakhstan has implemented an upgrading action for the petrochemical industry, aiming to enhance the downstream deep processing capacity. It has invested nearly 2 billion US dollars to build the country's first large-scale petrochemical project, mainly producing raw materials such as polypropylene.
China National Chemical Tianchen Company, a central state-owned enterprise based in Tianjin, has many years of experience in undertaking overseas projects. It has participated in projects such as the natural gas storage facility in Turkey and has won international awards in the industry. With these advantages, it successfully won the bid for this project. This project covers an area of approximately 1.5 square kilometers and requires over 14,000 piles to be driven. It is planned to seek out more than ten prefabricated pile manufacturers in Kazakhstan to supply building materials. Kehafang is worried that with so many suppliers, there might be any difference in the materials they provide.
To allay the concerns of the Kazakh side, after coordination with the Tianjin headquarters, more than ten additional technicians were dispatched. Each of them was responsible for contacting one manufacturer, and each batch of goods was inspected on-site before being dispatched. Not only were the number of supervisors increased, but the person in charge of the construction team also led the team to refine the logistics transportation and construction plan, and recruited over 200 workers locally. After training, they joined the construction team.
It was through such repeated communications that the teams of both sides adapted better and better. Eventually, the project began its trial operation in 2023. In order to ensure the smooth handover of the project, Tianchen Company also dispatched a team of 120 people to be responsible for operation and maintenance, debugging and other work. All of them are experienced engineers and team leaders. They adopted a master-apprentice system and provided one-on-one training to local employees. In the past two months, the project has reached its designed production capacity, with an annual output of 500,000 tons.
It is reported. Provide raw materials for the local development of industries such as materials and electronic components to reduce production costs. This year, China National Chemical Tianchen Company also undertook the green power construction project in Kazakhstan.
