On May 28th, the 40,000-ton/year basic lithium salt integrated project of Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd. made significant progress after 11 months of day and night efforts - the adsorption lithium extraction device successfully completed the intermediate handover, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent full-line completion and commissioning of the project. The project officially transitioned from the engineering construction stage to the trial production stage.

 

 

 

According to Chai Junping, a responsible person from the project command center, as a key breakthrough project of Salt Lake Co., Ltd. and a milestone project for the development of lithium resources in Qinghai salt lakes, the 40,000-ton/year basic lithium salt integrated project has attracted much attention since its launch. Among them, the adsorption lithium extraction device, as the "core engine" for achieving the project's production capacity target, integrates the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the adsorption lithium extraction device and its affiliated substations and outdoor storage tanks in a super-large-scale factory building of 35,000 square meters, thus building an efficient and collaborative production matrix. The device adopts the industry-leading "continuous ion exchange moving bed + membrane coupling" technology. Through innovative processes and full-process optimization, it has broken through the technical bottleneck of traditional lithium extraction from salt lakes, achieving a leapfrog improvement in the efficiency and quality of lithium resource extraction. It more deeply practices the concept of green development, guided by energy conservation and efficiency improvement, and lays a solid technical foundation for the overall capacity release of the project.

 

Since the project was initiated, in the face of complex plateau terrain and sand and dust challenges, the 40,000-ton project team has strictly adhered to the bottom line of quality and safety, ensuring that all links meet the standards through meticulous construction. From pipe fusion inspection, flange screening to the application of the "blind plate traceability method" and "bubble detection method" for dual inspection, and then to the repeated verification of remote intercontrol technology and thousands of simulation operations in the main control room, every step demonstrates the professionalism and responsibility of the builders. The handover of this facility is a practical achievement of the 40,000-ton "100-day Integration and Renewal Action", and also a key leap in response to the strategic deployment of China Minmetals and promoting the high-quality development of the salt lake industry. The project team has officially entered the final sprint stage of trial production. The 40,000-ton project team is simultaneously implementing the "14th Five-Year Plan" of Salt Lake Co., LTD., fully promoting the green technology upgrade plan, accelerating the application of green technologies such as photovoltaic installation, green power application, and solar heat collection for hot water production, promoting the development of high-value-added lithium salt products, and helping the salt lake industry move towards world-class scale.

 

Chai Junping stated that standing at a new development juncture, the 40,000-ton project team will continue to carry forward the "plateau spirit" and the "craftsman spirit", focus on the targets of feedstock trial operation and annual production, and make all-out efforts to inject strong impetus into the construction of a modern salt lake industrial system, and promote the transformation of the lithium resource advantages of the Chaka Salt Lake into a winning edge for the development of the new energy industry.
