On March 1st, the expert/entrepreneur symposium for the titanium dioxide industry in 2025 was held in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. Qiu Jianting, the director of the Expert Committee of the Titanium Dioxide Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, delivered the work report of the Expert committee of the Titanium Dioxide Alliance in 2025. The expert committee of the "Alliance" conducts relevant work in a step-by-step and focused manner in accordance with the annual work plan.
When it comes to the work plan and arrangement for 2025, Qiu Jianting pointed out that in 2025, the Expert Committee of the Titanium Dioxide Alliance should, under the leadership of the "Alliance" council and Secretariat, closely focus on the innovation and development needs of the titanium dioxide industry and each member enterprise, and steadily advance the application of innovative technologies, professional training, strategic cooperation, and the construction of expert teams. Raise the service level, service quality and service effect to a higher level.
The first is to successfully hold the third exchange and exhibition event of technological innovation achievements in the titanium dioxide industry. Qiu Jianting emphasized that on the basis of carefully summarizing the previous two exchange and exhibition sessions, it is necessary to further study the technical demands of the titanium dioxide industry, investigate the latest achievements of technological innovation, analyze the application effects of innovative technologies, evaluate the feasibility and value of application, and plan and organize the content, form and mobilization and promotion work of the conference well. Further increase the proportion of the exhibition in the exchange and display event, highlighting not only equipment technology but also adding contents such as production process technology, product development and application technology, environmental protection and safety technology, covering the main technological innovation elements in titanium dioxide production and management. Meanwhile, the "Alliance" will also, on the basis of thorough research and argumentation, selectively promote technological innovation achievements. For instance, the "Advanced and Efficient Waste Acid Freezing Crystallization Technology" jointly developed by Nantong Sansheng and Panzhihua Haifengxin has innovatively developed an integrated process technology featuring three unit operations: evaporation, cooling, and crystallization. This technology has solved the technical problems of separation and concentration of waste acid from titanium dioxide, and has positive significance for reducing residue and emissions as well as comprehensive utilization of resources in the titanium dioxide industry.
Second, we need to continuously deepen the service effect of training and innovate the content and form of training. We will continue to hold the second round of the second phase of the "Titanium Dioxide Post-Treatment and Product Application Technology Training Course" well. This training will once again invite industry experts, renowned professors from Tsinghua University, and experts from related research institutes of titanium dioxide to give lectures. The training will be based on the first round of training, supplemented and improved in content, and be more in line with market application demands, product development technologies and post-processing production processes.
Qiu Jianting pointed out that this year, in light of the actual situation of the titanium dioxide industry and enterprises, menu-style training should be carried out. Especially for newly established enterprises, those undergoing renovation and capacity expansion, and regions and enterprises with relatively weak technical foundations, they should proactively contact and collect demands, and provide point-to-point specialized training services. At the same time, the third phase of training for the titanium dioxide industry is being planned. After preliminary research by the Secretariat and the expert committee, and soliciting suggestions and opinions from some titanium dioxide enterprises, it is proposed to carry out management technology training with the themes of environmental protection and safety in the titanium dioxide industry. In the first half of this year, the training outline will be compiled, opinions will be widely solicited, and expert teachers will be selected to give lectures. The compilation and review of the teaching materials will be completed in the second half of the year.
Third, it is necessary to strengthen the construction of the expert team in the titanium dioxide industry and enhance the team's innovation and service capabilities. The current expert members mainly come from titanium dioxide enterprises, possessing rich working experience and high professional qualities. However, their participation in serving the industry is also influenced by the background and conditions of their respective enterprises. Meanwhile, the proportion of experts and professors in related industries, universities and research institutes in related fields is relatively small, and there is a lack of theoretical level and innovative resources in technology and profession. To this end, the expert committee will further attract experts, professors and leaders from both within and outside the industry, various specialties, and at a high level, in order to enhance the innovation and service capabilities of the titanium dioxide expert team.
Fourth, actively participate in the industry management and service work of the "Alliance". The "Alliance" has become the main industry organization in the titanium dioxide industry. Its service functions and roles have become increasingly prominent. It has not only received wide praise and recognition both within and outside the industry, but also been acknowledged by relevant national departments and related industry associations, significantly enhancing the quality and influence of the titanium dioxide industry.
Qiu Jianting stated that the expert committee of the "Alliance" will, in accordance with the requirements of the Council and the Secretariat, actively participate in all management and service work of the "Alliance", take the initiative to act and assume responsibilities, and strive to do a good job in technological innovation, industry development, industrial leadership and industry services.
