The first green power project of Ningxia Energy Chemical has been successfully connected to the grid and started generating electricity

Recently, the rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project of Sinopec Ningxia Energy Chemical Company was successfully connected to the grid for power generation. After the project is put into use, it will not only save standard coal for power generation but also reduce the emissions of various air pollutants such as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides. This is of great significance for protecting the local environment and promoting ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin.

 

Ningxia Energy Chemical Company is the first coal chemical enterprise of Sinopec to be put into production and operation. The electricity generated by the two 330MW subcritical thermal power generating units it is equipped with is used for the company's production and living electricity. To promote green and low-carbon development and follow a sustainable development path, the company has intensified its cooperation with green and clean energy companies, actively developed and utilized renewable energy, and vigorously carried out green power project construction.

 

 

 

The rooftop distributed photovoltaic power generation project is the first green power project of Ningxia Energy Chemical. In the early stage of the project construction, the company actively communicated and coordinated with relevant units such as State Grid Ningxia Electric Power Company, assisted the construction unit in handling various approval procedures, and accelerated the project construction progress. After the completion of the project, the Ningdong Power Supply Company was organized and coordinated to conduct the acceptance inspection and issue the grid connection license. The project was successfully accepted in one go and connected to the grid.

 

This project is constructed on the open Spaces such as the roof of the company's administrative office area, the fire water tank of the polyvinyl alcohol operation department, and the top of the water tank of the public works operation department, with an installed capacity of 2.06 megawatts. It is mainly composed of 3,780 monocrystalline silicon solar cell modules, one set of photovoltaic power station monitoring system, etc. It is connected to the low-voltage side of the transformer within the factory area through 7 400V lines respectively, and is used for lighting in the administrative building, restaurant, apartment and other places. The generated electricity is fully consumed by the company. The project has adopted advanced and feasible measures for electricity, water and raw material conservation in its design. The utilization of energy and resources is rational, achieving the goal of fully utilizing renewable energy and conserving non-renewable fossil resources. It plays a positive role in environmental protection and reducing air pollution.

 

It is reported that after the project is put into use, it is expected to generate an average of about 3.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, save about 1,100 tons of standard coal, and correspondingly reduce 2,700 tons of carbon dioxide, 0.8 tons of sulfur dioxide and 1.1 tons of nitrogen oxides.
