The technological transformation and upgrading project of Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical, Lu Oil and Lu Refinery has started construction
On the morning of December 19th, the technological transformation and upgrading project of Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical's Lu Oil and Lu Refinery was launched in Zibo City.
The Lu You Lu Liang project mainly involves the construction of a 10 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, a 1 million tons/year ethylene plant and its downstream supporting facilities, etc. It is of great significance for promoting the transformation and upgrading of Shandong's petrochemical industry and assisting Sinopec in becoming stronger and better.
According to the environmental impact assessment report disclosed by the Shandong Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment in November, the total investment of the Lu You Lu Lian project is approximately 24.49 billion yuan, consisting of two parts: the oil refining section and the chemical section. The construction period is 2 years and 7 months, and the construction site is within the existing factory area of the Qilu Branch of the Qilu Chemical Industry Zone in Linzi District, Zibo City, Shandong Province.
The refining section includes a 10 million tons/year atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, a 2.1 million tons/year high-end carbon material unit, a 2 million tons/year hydrocracking unit, a 1.5 million tons/year continuous reforming unit, an 80,000 Nm³/ hour dry gas hydrogen production unit, an 80,000 tons/year sulfur recovery unit, a 1 million tons/year coking gasoline hydrogenation unit, etc. And the construction or renovation of corresponding supporting storage and transportation, public utilities, and auxiliary facilities.
The chemical engineering section includes a 1 million-ton ethylene cracking unit. Downstream supporting facilities such as a 200,000-ton/year ethylene oxide plant, a 600,000-ton/year cracked gasoline hydrogenation plant, a 1.3 million-ton/year aromatics extraction plant, a 150,000-ton/year butadiene extraction plant, a 200,000-ton ion-exchange membrane caustic soda capacity restoration technology transformation, a waste alkali liquid treatment plant, a 180,000-ton/year aromatics adsorption separation plant, and system renovations of storage and transportation, public utilities and auxiliary facilities "Made.
According to the information, the Qilu Branch of Sinopec Corporation is located in Zibo City, Shandong Province. It was established in 1966. After more than 50 years of development, it has now grown into a large-scale integrated enterprise specializing in oil refining, chemical engineering and chemical fibers. By the end of 2022, the Qilu Branch had a comprehensive oil refining processing capacity of 10 million tons per year, an ethylene production capacity of 800,000 tons per year, synthetic resin 1.3 million tons per year, caustic soda 450,000 tons per year, rubber 300,000 tons per year, benzene 500,000 tons per year, butanol and octanol 325,800 tons per year, acrylonitrile 260,000 tons per year, and acrylic fiber 54,000 tons per year. The installed capacity of the thermal power plant is 504,000 kilowatts.
