As of April 10th, the Fuman Oilfield of China National Petroleum Corporation's Tarim Oilfield Company, the largest ultra-deep oilfield in China, has produced over 20 million tons of oil and gas, setting a "deep earth benchmark" for high-quality exploration and development in complex fields below 8,000 meters in China.

Fuman Oilfield is located in the heart of the Taklimakan Desert in Xinjiang, with oil and gas resources exceeding 1 billion tons. The oil and gas resources in this oilfield are generally buried at ultra-deep layers ranging from 7,000 to 10,000 meters, creating extremely complex geological conditions such as ultra-deep, ultra-high temperature, ultra-high pressure and high sulfur content.

Facing the "extreme challenges" in geology and engineering, Tarim Oilfield innovatively proposed the "Five Determinations and Three Characteristics" reservoir unit division and evaluation technology, forming a complete technical system for ultra-deep oil and gas exploration and development. Supported by this, the Fuman Oilfield has efficiently discovered and developed more than ten ultra-deep carbonate rock blocks such as Fuyuan, Manshen and Yueman, supporting a "five consecutive increases" in oil and gas production and transforming the 8,000-meter underground "death line" of oil and gas into a "supply line" for increasing reserves and production.
