From December 6th to 7th, 2024, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Energy and Chemical Industry Innovation and Development Forum and the 100th Summit Forum of Tianjin University's Chemical Engineering Discipline (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Special Session) were held in Tianjin. Experts attending the meeting pointed out that the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has unique advantages in the innovative development of the energy and chemical industry. Meanwhile, the implementation of the coordinated development strategy of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has provided a favorable policy environment and development opportunities for the innovative development of the energy and chemical industry in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. In 2025, Tianjin University will celebrate its 130th anniversary and the centenary of its chemical engineering discipline. The School of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University plans to hold a hundred high-level forums on the 100th anniversary of the chemical engineering discipline. Among them, the regional industry forum will focus on local development needs, assist the development of alumni enterprises, promote the in-depth integration of industry, academia and research, and serve high-quality development with first-class disciplines.
