Sinochem News: The rubber new materials industry in Hebi, a major center for rubber additives, is growing vigorously.

At the annual Rubber New Materials Industry Development Conference held from April 21st to 23rd, 15 industrial projects including the 30,000-ton special rubber additive construction project, 5 talent recruitment and introduction projects including the rubber accelerator research team of Dr. Hua Chao from the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 5 scientific and technological innovation projects including the rubber additive separation, purification and transformation technology development project jointly carried out by Hebi Ruida Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hebi City Three pilot base awarding projects, including the pilot base for tire rubber additives, and three talent cultivation bases, including the talent cultivation base project of Zhang Jisong's team from the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University, were signed in Hebi.

It is understood that new rubber materials are a key support for high-end manufacturing and green and low-carbon development. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of R&D capabilities, the continuous expansion of application fields, and the rapid progress of interdisciplinary technologies, new rubber materials have been constantly updated and made breakthroughs in key strategic materials and frontier new materials, playing an increasingly significant role in promoting the rapid development of the national economy, especially in emerging fields.

Shi Quanxin, director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Hebi City and the chain leader of the city's functional new materials industry chain, said that in recent years, Hebi has been committed to leading industrial innovation with scientific and technological innovation, cultivating and developing new quality productive forces, and promoting the formation of a "3+3" leading industrial system. The three traditional industries of functional new materials, electronic appliances, and magnesium-based new materials have been iteratively upgraded. Three emerging industries, namely commercial aerospace, bio-manufacturing, semiconductors and industrial software, are booming. As a significant rubber additive production base in the country, Hebi's rubber additive production capacity accounts for nearly one-third of the national total, and its market share of accelerators is as high as 80%. National-level "little giant" enterprises specializing in rubber additives, such as Yuanhao New Materials and Hengli Rubber and Plastic, are flourishing. The leading provincial engineering technology research center for rubber chemical new materials in China has achieved fruitful results, providing strong technical support for the development of the rubber new materials industry.

Wang Yandong, secretary-general of the Rubber Additives Professional Committee of the China Rubber Industry Association, told reporters that rubber additives have been included in the six major industrial chains of Hebi City. The government work report of Heshan District, Hebi City, has included promoting the connection and cooperation between listed companies, leading enterprises and enterprises in the park, as well as mergers and acquisitions. It also covers following up on the cooperation project between Hengli Rubber and Plastic and Wuhan University, accelerating the construction of Yongxin Chemical's 78,000-ton advanced green functional new materials project per year, and promoting the upgrading of rubber additive series products to a more high-end and greener direction. Rubber new materials enjoy a favorable industrial atmosphere and development environment in Hebi.

Judging from the projects signed this time, 15 key projects and 6 major industry-university-research platforms cover areas such as special rubber additives, green processes, and nanotechnology, which will boost the formation of a powerful synergy for collaborative innovation in the industry. The scientific and technological innovation projects such as the waste liquid treatment technology jointly developed by Hebi Ruida Chemical and the Chinese Academy of Sciences will accelerate the industry's move towards "green" development. The joint establishment of talent cultivation bases with universities such as Tsinghua University and Tianjin University, as well as the large-scale implementation of pilot bases, will accelerate the formation of the "industry-university-research-application" ecosystem.

Cui Xuejun, the Party Secretary and Chairman of China Chemical Industry News Co., LTD., said that Hebi is accelerating the industrialization of new technologies such as microchemicals and continuous flow reactions. Deepen green transformation, promote clean production standards, and build a low-carbon system throughout the entire life cycle; We are building an industrial highland featuring a full-chain cluster of "rubber additives - tires - terminal applications". The newspaper office will fully play its role as a link of industry media and join hands with all parties to promote the construction of the industrial ecosystem.
