Sinochem News: On October 18th, the 300,000-ton/year coal-to-ethylene glycol project of Sinochem (Inner Mongolia) New Materials Co., LTD., a subsidiary of Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. under China National Chemical Corporation, successfully completed the entire process in one go and produced polyester-grade ethylene glycol products.

Zhonghua (Inner Mongolia) New Materials Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Donghua Science & Technology, a subsidiary of China National Chemical Corporation, and Yulin Chemical. Donghua Science & Technology holds a 60% stake in the company. The 300,000-ton/year coal-to-ethylene glycol project of China Chemical (Inner Mongolia) New Materials Co., Ltd. is located in the Chemical Industry Concentration Zone of Lubei Industrial Park, Zhalute Banner, Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, covering an area of 1,183 mu and with a total investment of 6.41 billion yuan. The project uses lignite as raw material and adopts international advanced processes such as dry pulverized coal pressurized gasification, syngas purification, ethylene glycol synthesis, and product distillation to produce ethylene glycol. After going into production, it is expected to have an annual output value of over 1.5 billion yuan, a profit and tax of 300 million yuan, and can directly or indirectly provide more than 2,000 jobs. It is of great significance for promoting the chain development of the modern coal chemical industry and building a green coal chemical base in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia.

Donghua Science and Technology stated that it will rely on this project to transform China Chemical (Inner Mongolia) New Materials Co., Ltd. into a new type of coal chemical base integrating "new chemical materials, new energy, high-end equipment manufacturing, and technology research and development", adding a new growth pole to the industrialization development of China's chemical industry.
