Donghua Science and Technology is the general contractor for the DMC project of Linhuan Coking
Sinochem News: On September 28th, the 100,000-ton/year dimethyl carbonate (DMC) project of Linhuan Coking, which was contracted by Donghua Engineering Technology Co., LTD., conducted a trial run and successfully completed the entire process in one go, producing qualified products. The test results show that the main performance indicators of the product DMC all meet the relevant standards.
DMC is an important raw material for the production of new material polycarbonate and new energy lithium batteries. This project uses carbon monoxide and methanol as raw materials and adopts the methanol gas-phase oxidation carbonylation method to produce dimethyl carbonate. After reaching full production capacity, it can produce 90,000 tons of industrial-grade dimethyl carbonate and 10,000 tons of battery-grade dimethyl carbonate annually.

It is reported that this project is located within the Anhui (Huaibei) New Coal Chemical Synthetic Materials Base. Relying on the methanol produced from the existing coke oven gas of Linhuan Coking, it further extends the industrial chain, opens up new application fields of coke oven gas, meets the requirements of energy conservation and carbon reduction transformation and upgrading in key areas of high energy-consuming industries of the country, and is also an important layout of Donghua Science and Technology in the field of new materials. The general contracting contract for the project was signed on February 21, 2023, and it was handed over with high quality on July 30.
