The fourth member congress of Jiangsu Chemical Industry Association was held
On August 28, 2024, the fourth member Congress of Jiangsu Chemical Industry Association was held in Nanjing. More than 200 representatives from member units across the province attended the meeting.
The members' meeting was presided over by Ma Jianping, the vice president and secretary-general of the third council of Jiangsu Chemical Industry Association. The meeting deliberated and approved the work report of the third council presented by Zhao Weijian, the president of the third council, the financial work report of the third council presented by Chen Lilai, the executive vice secretary-general of the third council, and the work report of the first supervisory board of the association presented by Chu Zheng, the chairperson of the first supervisory board.
The conference heard the explanation on the revised charter made by Ling Jiandong, the vice president of the third council, and deliberated and passed the "Charter of Jiangsu Chemical Industry Association" (revised).
The conference elected the fourth council, the standing council and the leadership team by secret ballot. Qiao Xu was elected as the president, Chen Chunyuan, Chen Haiqun and others as vice presidents, and Ma Jianping as vice president, secretary-general and legal representative. Chen Kai, Xu Minghua, You Youhua, Zhao Weijian, Zhang Xiaobo and others were elected as supervisors of the second supervisory board, with Zhao Weijian serving as the chairperson of the supervisory board. Based on the nomination of Secretary-General Ma Jianping, the conference appointed Chen Gang, Chen Zhilin, Tang Ling and 11 others as deputy secretaries-general of the association.
To further improve the daily working institutional system of the association and serve the members and the development of the industry, the conference has decided to continue to establish the Technical Committee and two working committees, namely the Chemical Industry Park and the Responsible Care Committee, as members. The technical committee will leverage the association's ability to unite and utilize industry talents to better serve enterprises, the industry and the government. The Working Committee of the Chemical Industry Park will focus on promoting the standardization, ecological greening and intrinsic safety of the park's development, and better support the high-quality development of the province's chemical industry. The Responsible Care Working Committee will promote the overall improvement of the industry and achieve coordinated development with the community and society, comprehensively enhance the health, safety and environmental management level of enterprises, fulfill social responsibilities and shape a positive image of the industry.
The next five years will be a crucial period for Jiangsu's chemical industry to continue promoting sustainable and high-quality development and achieve new glories after years of in-depth adjustments. We believe that under the leadership of the fourth council, the supervision of the second supervisory board, with the support and assistance of all member units, and the care and guidance of relevant departments, the association's work will achieve new development and progress. Jiangsu's chemical industry adheres to the new development concepts, remains committed to the primary task of high-quality development, highlights innovation-driven and green and low-carbon transformation, accelerates the development of new quality productive forces, nurtures and expands emerging and future industries, and promotes the transformation of kinetic energy, structural upgrading and quality and efficiency improvement of the petrochemical industry to a new level. Make one's own contribution to "taking the lead and setting an example" in Jiangsu's modernization drive with Chinese characteristics.
