The cold box hoisting for the Yan 'an Natural Gas peak Shaving Project has been completed
On June 1st, the two core equipment of the Yan 'an Natural Gas Storage and peak Shaving and Supporting LNG project invested and constructed by Yanchang Petroleum - the A/B giant cold boxes - were successfully hoisted into place, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent comprehensive installation and commissioning of the facilities.
The cold box hoisted this time is 27 meters high, with a net weight of 160 tons per unit. It is composed of a plate-fin heat exchanger and a separator, which can achieve a highly intensive heat transfer system and is a core device in the natural gas liquefaction and refrigerant circulation system. During the hoisting operation, a 400-ton crawler crane with an overlift function is used as the main crane, and a 650-ton truck crane is used as the auxiliary crane for tail delivery. Before the hoisting operation, the command post of the Yanchang Petroleum Refining and Chemical Project fully considered the factors affecting the hoisting operation, such as the size of the equipment, the working conditions of the site, and the weather. It coordinated the ground widening and hardening treatment of the cold box transport vehicle entry route, formulated a strict, feasible and reliable equipment hoisting plan, and organized expert argumentation on the hoisting plan. At the same time, it carried out special foundation replacement and filling treatment on the hoisting operation surface. With the joint efforts of all the participating construction units, both cold boxes were successfully hoisted into position in one go.
It is learned that the Yan 'an Natural Gas Storage and peak Shaving Project and the supporting LNG project are located in the Chemical Industry Park of Linzhan Economic Zone, Baota District, Yan 'an City, Shaanxi Province. Up to now, the overall completion rate has reached 70%. After the project is completed, it will ensure the security of natural gas supply in Yan 'an and even the northern Shaanxi region, especially enhancing the heating and emergency supply capacity during the peak winter period. At the same time, it will promote the optimization and upgrading of the regional energy structure, and have a profound impact on promoting the sustainable development of the local economy and society and safeguarding people's livelihood and well-being.
